Attendees will learn about the role Federally mandated and voluntary electronic standards and operating rules play in standardizing and securing the exchange of health information and how they can be leveraged to support the adoption and administration of value-based care (VBC) programs. Joined by Erin Weber, Vice President, CORE and Michael Phillips, Senior Manager, CORE, attendees will understand how CAQH CORE - the HHS-designated Operating Rule Authoring Entity - is updating and creating Operating Rules that:

• streamline identification and engagement of patients attributed to a VBC contract,
• strengthen collection and sharing of socio-demographic information,
• and facilitate the documentation of secondary diagnoses that support risk adjustment and quality measurement methodologies.

Attendees new to the technical interoperability space and those with existing knowledge will equally benefit from the presentation as Erin and Michael detail current and future directions toward automated information exchange.
