Raising the Bar: The Evolution of Value-Based Care in New York: Hear From Health Plan Leaders on What Works and What Doesn’t Value-based care holds real promise, but turning that promise into practice requires more than aligned incentives. It requires trust, infrastructure, and a shared understanding of what “readiness” looks like. In this session, health plan leaders will explore the practical challenges of moving organizations into risk, how contracts should be structured, what signals indicate a provider is ready for deeper downside exposure and how to manage the complexity of operating across multiple programs. The discussion will span commercial, Medicare Advantage, and Medicaid VBC, as well as network and specialty care strategy, Star Ratings alignment, and the data transparency providers need to succeed. |
