NAACOS Discussion ListServ Policy

The NAACOS discussion ListServ is a peer-to-peer professional forum designed to foster collaboration, share best practices, and exchange ideas among members. Only staff from member accountable care organizations or value-based care provider group organizations may participate in the ListServ.  

This forum is not intended as a tool to engage with NAACOS staff. The guidelines outlined below are intended to encourage respectful, relevant, and productive communication. 

By subscribing to the ListServ, members agree to abide by these guidelines. Contact [email protected] to report violations or ask questions. 

  1. Professional Conduct
  • Treat all participants with respect and courtesy. 
  • Avoid personal attacks, inflammatory language, or discriminatory remarks. 
  • Do not use the ListServ for illegal purposes, including but not limited to defamation, violation of intellectual property laws, violation of antitrust or unfair competition laws, racism, antisemitism, other forms of discrimination, or violation of criminal laws.  
  • This includes direct accusations of fraud or other illegal activity.  
  1. Relevant Content 
  • Post relevant content that applies to ACO operations, policy, care coordination, or related topics. 
  • Off-topic discussions, political commentary, or unrelated content are prohibited. 
  1. No Marketing or Solicitation 
  • Do not advertise products, services, or events for commercial purposes. 
  1. Privacy and Confidentiality 
  • Do not share patient-identifiable information or confidential organizational data. 
  • Respect intellectual property rights when sharing documents or materials. 
  1. Subject Lines 
  • Use clear, descriptive subject lines for easy searching and engagement. 
  • Example: “Risk Adjustment Strategies for CKD Patients.” 
  1. Reply Etiquette 
  • Use “Reply All” only when your response benefits the entire group. 
  • For individual follow-up, reply directly to the sender. 
  1. Attachments 
  • Keep attachments small and relevant. 
  • Use links to resources instead of large files. 
  1. Moderation and Enforcement 
  • Posts may be moderated for compliance. 
  • Repeated violations may result in removal from the listserv. 
  • Violations will be addressed by NAACOS staff. Consequences may include: 
    • Warning for minor infractions. 
    • Temporary suspension for repeated violations. 
    • Permanent removal from the ListServ for serious or persistent breaches.
