2027 Board of Directors

Overview

The NAACOS Board of Directors’ purpose is to advance the core mission of NAACOS: To advance provider-led transformation toward better care, improved health, and smarter spending by fostering collaboration and accountability in health care. Board members represent a diverse range of member interests and help shape NAACOS priorities, such as educating members in operational and clinical best practices, advocating on behalf of ACOs with Congress and the executive branch, and educating the public about the value of accountable care. To be a NAACOS board member, the candidate must be employed as an executive of a NAACOS member in good standing at all times during their term of office.

Submit Nomination

The NAACOS Governance Committee works diligently to make sure that the board represents the diversity of member class, type, experience and geographic location. They will choose two candidates per open board seat for the slate of candidates. For the 2027 board, three individuals will be chosen to run against the three incumbents.

To be a NAACOS board member, the candidate must be a C-suite executive of the NAACOS member in good standing at all times during their term of office. For multi-ACO members, the candidate must be an employee of the “parent” organization. All NAACOS members may submit nominations for the board. 

All ACO members will vote on all open board seats.  This includes multi-ACOs, single entity ACOs, and Value-Based Care Provider members. 

Only self-nominations are accepted.

Nominations must include all of the following. New this year: forms may be edited after submission. You will need to log in under the “NAACOS” section heading, select the “2027 Board Nominees” form from the drop down list, and the select the “2027 Board Nominee Submission” link to edit your submission up until August 12.   • Name
  • Title
  • A three – five sentence description of current responsibilities
  • ACO name and start date
  • ACO ownership structure
  • Nominee’s email and phone number
  • Nominator’s name, email and phone number (only if it is not a self-nomination)
  • A brief, two-to-three paragraph description of the nominee of information NOT included in a bio. This should include: past experience as a board member for other organizations, ideas and objectives for the nominee’s term as a NAACOS board member, and a detailed history of any additional service with NAACOS (committees served on, conferences and webinars spoken at, etc.)
  • A narrative bio (not a CV) – please attach file
  • One letter of recommendation – please attach file

Expectations for All NAACOS Board Members

  • Serve a three-year term, beginning on January 1, 2027
  • Attend four 90-minute board meetings a year via webinar
  • Attend two in-person conferences per year and any meetings that are scheduled within that conference, including but not limited to: VIP reception and board breakfast meetings
  • Attend an in-person board retreat every other year (next meeting would be in 2027)
  • Participate in the conferences by planning, organizing, moderating and/or speaking as requested
  • Serve as presenters or discussants on NAACOS webinars hosted as needed
  • Attend the NAACOS meeting of members (webinar) and present if requested
  • Participate in surveys, membership campaigns, and elections when requested
  • Board members are encouraged to play an active role in advocacy efforts, including outreach to the administration and members of Congress, participation in Hill Days and the NAACOS individual membership, and supporting advocacy through all appropriate channels.
